Everyone has the right to submit a request to ensure digital accessibility of a website, a mobile app, or their element. You may also request provision of information through an alternative means of access, e.g. by reading out a digitally inaccessible document, describing the contents of a film that does not have audio description, etc. The request should contain the details of the person submitting the request, indicating which website or mobile app is concerned, and the method of contact. If you request receiving information through an alternative means of access, you should also indicate the way of presentation of the information that is convenient for you.

The public entity should comply with the request immediately, not later than within 7 days of the date the request is made. If it is impossible to meet such a deadline, the public entity will immediately inform you when it is possible, where that time limit may not be longer than 2 months of the day the request is made. If ensuring digital accessibility is impossible, the public entity may propose an alternative means of accessing the information.

If the public entity refuses to comply with the request to ensure accessibility or an alternative means of accessing the information, you may file a complaint regarding the ensuring of digital accessibility of a website, a mobile app, or an element of a website or of a mobile app.

Once the above procedure has been exhausted, a request may also be filed to the Commissioner for Human Rights.

ARCHITECTURAL ACCESSIBILITY

The rooms of the State Marine Accident Investigation Commission are situated on the 3rd floor, in the building of the Maritime Office in Szczecin. There is one step at the entry outside of the building, and there are 9-step stairs leading to the ground floor level in the entry staircase. There are no platforms, ramps, or stairlifts that facilitate entry of wheelchair users. Two lifts are available for transport from the ground floor level to the third floor level. Wheelchair users cannot access the rooms of the State Marine Accident Investigation Commission. Members of the State Marine Accident Investigation Commission, if necessary, may meet with wheelchair users in the places agreed with them outside the building, where no architectural accessibility restrictions exist for such persons.
